Kimi ni Todoke Manga Ends

It was revealed on Friday in the November issue of Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret magazine that the Kimi ni Todoke manga will end in the next issue on November 13 The magazine had announced back in June that the series’ final arc would begin August, but Kimi ni Todoke ended up going on a one-month hiatus due to the authors health.

MAL’s Rewrite Team describes the story:

Kuronuma Sawako is completely misunderstood by her classmates. Her timid and sweet demeanor is often mistaken for malicious behavior. This is due to her resemblance to the ghost girl from “The Ring,” which has led her peers to give her the nickname Sadako. Longing to make friends and live a normal life, she is naturally drawn to Kazehaya Shouta, the most popular guy in class, whose “100% refreshing” personality earns him great admiration from Sawako. So when Kazehaya starts talking to her, maybe there is hope for the friendships Sawako has always longed for. Maybe…there is even a little hope for some romance in her future.

The manga series is written by Karuho Shiina, and was originally published in August 2005. Viz Media is currently publishing the original manga in English. Kimi no Todoke currently has two seasons of anime, the first of which aired in 2009, with the second season  in 2011.
